On Sunday, September 7, we will kick off our fall calendar with an amazing festival worship and carnival fundraiser to support the ministries of our congregation. Our goal is to fulfill the body of Christ so that we can go out and serve the world. There is an amazing array of ministries at Gethsemane that help us do that, and on Rally Sunday Day we lift them up and support them as a church.

As you may remember our approved budget for 2008 included a fall fundraiser to support our programs. Rally Day will be the one time giving opportunity over and above your pledge to do that. The exciting part is that we have a $15,000 challenge gift made to the event so that every dollar we raise up to that mark will be matched.

We will begin the day with an exciting and festive worship service at 10:00 a.m. where our Vacation Bible School children will share their songs and enthusiasm. Then we will invite everyone out to the front parking lot for our festival. There will be games, food, and lots of information on all of the ways our programs help us “Fulfill the Body of Christ” together. At the different booths you will have the opportunity get involved in the different ministries of our congregation and also make a donation to those areas that are your passion. Come help us make Christ’s feet walk, Christ’s heart care, and Christ’s hands reach those in need. Let us be the church together!
